They committed atrocities against the Rinans (the first xenospecies the Terran Accord encountered), including an attempt to glass (use weapons that melt the surface of a planet into glass like nuclear weapons) parts of the surface of their homeworld of Nyrina. Commonly believed to be an attempted ‘revenge’ for the Rinan government asking the Affini Compact for help. They didn’t succeed more than a bit thanks to quick action from the nearest Affini Compact Armada.
